About Me

Hello, I’m Myranda! I am a Providence-based actor and a proud first-generation American of two Azorean-Portuguese parents. I hope to create work that honors my family’s culture and inspires the work of younger performers to come. Outside of performing, you can find me reading, grabbing coffee with my friends, or engaging in retail therapy.

As a professional actor, I want to advocate for better body representation in the industry. Broadway and theater is for every body!

I graduated from Rhode Island College with two degrees: a B.A. in Theatre and a B.A. in Public Administration! Some of my favorite roles in college include Pamela in Head Over Heels, #7 in The Wolves and Bernarda Alba in The House of Bernarda Alba, in which I was nominated for the Irene Ryan Scholarship Award and was named a finalist out of 156 participants at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region 1. I am a proud 2019 Jimmy Awards Alum and Stephen Sondheim Award recipient for my portrayal of Judy Bernly in 9 to 5: The Musical.

I grew up with a passion to entertain. Whether it was dressing up as various Disney characters (Cinderella was my favorite), dancing, or serenading my family, the arts were an important part of my life from the beginning. As soon as I could read, I joined my church choir, then started piano lessons, and once I reached middle school, dove head first into the world of theatre, and never looked back.
